After being flown from Scotland to London’s Buckingham Palace on Tuesday night, Queen Elizabeth II’s coffin was met by massive crowds.
Crowds gathered in front of the palace despite the rain to pay their respects to the late queen. The coffin was received by King Charles III at the palace before spending the night at the queen’s residence in London.

Prior to the funeral on Monday, it will spend four days lying in state at Westminster Hall after being transported there on a horse-drawn gun carriage on Wednesday.
