Forty-five General Arts students of Ebenezer Senior High School in Dansoman in the Greater Accra Region who have been studying on the floor since Thursday, March 10, over their inability to pay GH600 each for broken desks, have been allowed to study in their classroom.
The students were allowed back into their classrooms by the headmistress on Thursday after an Onua TV report, which was also published on 3news.com.
Onua TV on Tuesday, March 15 broke the news of the headmistress parking all the desks in the classroom because the students could pay an amount of GH600 each.

The guardian explained that the headmistress gave them up on Thursday, March 10 to pay GH600 each.
He said the desks were three so she asked the students to pay GH¢600 each and since they couldn’t pay, she took all the desks out, leaving the students to study on the floor when they went to school.
Teachers have been teaching while students sit on the floor.
On Wednesday, the students were allowed to use the library as the classroom while arrangements were being made to rearrange the desks back into the classroom.
This was after Onua TV and Onua FM brought the issue to the attention of the Ablekuma West Municipal Chief Executive, George Cyril Bray, who promised to resolve the matter.
The MCE also apologized to parents and guardians whose wards have been subjected to such a situation and urged them to calm down.
The latest information available to Onua TV indicates the students are now back in their classroom from the library after interventions from the MCE and the Municipal Education Director.
