Mr Wisdom Akpablie, the assembly member for Wute Electoral area in the Akatsi South Municipality of the Volta region has presented some school uniforms to selected schools in his area.
A total of sixty uniforms were distributed to the beneficiary schools.
The schools include Lawui DA Primary, Ahlihadzi Primary, and Logote DA Primary schools.
Mr Akpabli, also the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Enam Lotteries, disclosed that the gesture was an essential exercise after his earlier visit to the schools which was aimed at among other things, to assess the level of teaching and learning at the various schools in the area.
“During my tour, I have identified some sixty needy but brilliant pupils who must be given educational assistance,” he said.
Mr Akpabli also assured the headteachers of the various schools of his continuous support in improving the standard of education in the area.
He further appealed to members of the general public to place priority on the future of the young ones.
The headteachers who received the items on behalf of the School Management Committee (SMC) expressed appreciation to Mr Akpabli for the gesture.
