Many have opined that the cinema of Ghana, officially referred to as Black Star Films or Ghallywood movies, has declined, but Nollywood actor Pere says the opposite. On Showbiz360 with Giovani, Pere Ebgi was welcome to Ghana and interviewed about his career as a Big Brother Niger season 6 finalist, a Nigerian actor, a qualified nurse, and ex-military personnel in the United States and a real estate agent. Pere could not hide his love for Ghanaian movies even though he is a Nollywood actor. According to him, he will always rate Ghana on top when it comes to screenplays, movies and stories in Africa.
Pere said, “Look. I gotta give it to Ghana when it comes to stories, screenplays, and movies. I always enjoy Ghanaian movies. Yeah, I do. ”

He made a list of his favourite Ghanaian movie stars like Jackie Appiah, Yvonne Nelson, Jocelyn Dumas, John Dumelo and Majid Michelle. He joyfully addressed the females as his sweethearts and showed respect by saluting them.
“Shout out to my sweetheart Yvonne Nelson, and also to my sweetheart Jackie Appiah, and also Joycelyn Dumas, much respect to Majid Michelle and also to John Dumelo. I mean, these are the guys. Much respect,” he added.
