A complaint of the matter to the Ghana Education Service (GES) has received no response as yet.

This is said to be stirring agitations among Rastafarians in Ghana especially coming barely a year after two such students were initially denied admission by Achimota School.

“It is our hope that the Ghana Education Service provides adequate response to this unfortunate action allegedly taken by the school and cause the school to reverse its decision,” a statement signed by a founding member of the Coalition for Sovereignty, Integrity and Justice (CSIJ), Ras Aswad Nkrabeah, indicated.

“We further wish that an investigation is conducted by GES to establish reasons for the school’s refusal on why such a child would be denied access to education just because of his dreadlocks.”
